Vacant Powers Act
Proposed Statute No. 2
An Act to better ease vacancies in elected offices.
NOTING the abundance of vacancies at the time of this Statute’s writing,
REALIZING that the powers invested in the positions vacant are key to Harrison’s functionality,
HEREBY enacts the Vacant Powers Act.
Short Title
(1) This act may be referred to as the “Vacant Powers Act”.
Delegation of Vacant Powers
(2) In the event a vacancy arises in an elected office, the Powers invested shall be subsequently provided to the President.
(3) The President shall have the authority to delegate any powers given to him through vacancies to any other elected official.
Passed unanimously on July 24th 2018 with 2 yeas, 0 nays, and 0 abstentions.
