Recognition Act
Proposed Statute No. 9
An Act to establish a honor system in Harrison.


OBSERVING that many nations in Harrison are commendable,
REALIZING that extraordinary deeds go unnoticed,
HEREBY enacts the Recognition Act.


Short Title

(1) This act may be referred to as the “Recognition Act”.

General

(2) No person or body shall award themselves.
(3) No person shall display an award without having earned it.
(4) Awardees may display their awards in whatever manner they like and shall also be listed collectively.

Dedicated Service Award

(5) Nations who have served 4 terms or 16 years in office, whichever comes first, shall receive the “Dedicated Service Award”.
(6) An individual may accumulate more than one of this award if they fulfill the requirements again, not counting the years they’ve already been awarded for.

Legislative Pioneer Award

(7) Nations who have proposed 3 statutes that passed shall receive the “Legislative Pioneer Award”.
(8) An individual may accumulate more than one of this award if they fulfill the requirements again, not counting the years they’ve already been awarded for.

Presidential Honor Award

(9) On the last year of the President’s term, they shall award one nation who have impacted Harrison the most during their tenure with the “Presidential Honor Award”.
(10) An individual may receive a plurality of this award.

Servant of Peace Award

(11) Any nation who serves as the official ambassador to another region shall be awarded the “Servant of Peace Award” permanently.
(12) An shall only collect this award once.

Justice Award

(13) The Court of Harrison shall award the nation who they believe has aided Justice and Freedom the most the “Justice Award”.
(14) The Court shall award the Justice Award twice in their 8 year terms.
(15) An individual may receive a plurality of this award.

Commemoration of Membership

(16) Nations who have been an “Active Member”, as defined by the Census, for 8 consecutive years shall be given the “Commemoration of Citizenship”.
(17) Nations may only receive this award once.

The People’s Award

(18) On the last year of the President’s term, the People shall collectively choose one person who they believe has best represented them and give them “The People’s Award”.
(19) Individuals may receive a plurality of this award.
