The New Nations Guide to Harrison
Lesson 3: Role-play Time and Elections
Role-play Time
In Harrison, a week is a "year". A new year begins every Sunday. To find out what specific year it is, visit the World Factbook (Region's Front Page). For even more specific dates, such as elections, click "Calendar" in Quick Links.
Elections
Elections take place within the last year of a position's term. For example, if a position is in office for 4 weeks (4 role-play years) the 4th and final week shall hold the election for the next incumbent. You can find the positions and their term lengths in Lesson 2.
The Election Week consists of the following...
- Monday - Thursday: A period of time for candidates to announce their candidacy and campaign. (You can only campaign during the election week)
- Friday - Sunday: A 3-day voting period to determine the winner of the election. The winner shall begin their term the following Monday. (Campaigning is still allowed during this time)
